I am an Australian with a long term diagnosis and treatment for depression. I am currently prescribed Avanaza (also known as mirtazepine) I am now here in Vietnam to teach English. I do not wish to travel home to Australia every few months to get my medication.
I have not been able to find a pharmacist who knows or understands this drug and who can answer this question – can I get this medication in Vietnam? If so, how. Do I need to see a doctor or a specialist?
I would appreciate it if you could tell me if it is possible in Vietnam to get this medicine or if I am best to speak with my Australian doctor about finding an alternative that I can get in Vietnam.
Thank you for your time.
